2007 Aida & Frederik Ndoci - Hear my plea
The Albanian fourth entry for ESC 2007 in Helsinki, was finally chosen.
Aida & Frederik Ndoci will be representing Albania in Helsinki with
a song called Balada e gurit (direct transl. The stone ballad) (Hear my
plea).Even though we don't know so much about Aida, just the she is the
wife of the Frederik,we know much more about the last mentioned.
Frederik grew up on a very cultural home of artists from
the north Albanian city of Shkodra. His sister,Rita Ndoci was loved for her
preformances as a profesional comedian much long before Frederik
started his career as singer.His sister, Juli Ndoci started a career as a
singer right after Frederik,but the couldn't share so much succes as the
brother did with singing.This is not the first time Frederik, that can sing in
six different languages,wins a competition.In fact he won the Festival
in December 1989 with the song called Toka e Diellit (The Earth of the
sun).His career is very long and it includes succesful movies,
where he preformed as an actor, starring in main and second roles.
Despite his big succes, he have had his share of big difficult times mostly
caused from the Albanian comunist regime of the time. Anyway, Frederik
is back, as a successful artist,winner and entrant for the Eurovision.
